Cultural Multiplicity in the Contemporary World
 
授業の目標   
現代の世界において、多様な文化的背景を持つ人々がいかなる形で共生することができるのかを探ることは重要な課題です。多文化社会を見るうえで、政治、経済、文化など多様な切り口がありますが、この授業では、文学、映画、絵画、宗教等を通じて、さまざまな地域で多文化がどのように共存しているかを学びます。受講者は、この授業を通じて、多文化共生の多様なあり方を学ぶことが可能となります。加えて、多文化共生を文化的視点から見ることにより、学問的視野そのものを学び、文化研究の基盤を理解することが可能となります。
 
Goals of the course   
In our contemporary world, it is of utmost importance to search for the ways people with different cultural backgrounds can live together and respect their difference. The lectures in the course focus on specific examples of cultural multiplicity represented in literature, films, art, and religion in various areas of the world, enabling the students to have glimpses into the realities of cultural multiplicity in the world today, to get acquainted with academic perspectives on it, and to understand the basics of culture studies today.
 
授業の概要   
本授業は総合文化学類の文化研究入門です。多様な地域を背景として、各回1名の担当者が、リレー形式で講義を行います。地域、時代の特質に沿った形で具体的事例を示しながら、多文化共生の可能性や課題を考察すると同時に、多様な文化研究の可能性を示します。予定されている各回のテーマならびに担当者は「授業の計画」を参照してください（題目とその順序、担当者について変更が生じる場合があります）。
 
Overview of the course   
This is an introductory course for students in the Sogo Bunka Gakurui (The Academic Group for Trans-Cultural Studies). It offers a series of weekly lectures by specialists of different areas and cultures. The lectures focus on the exemplary cases of cultural multiplicity in specific areas and times, and will examine the possibilities and problems of multiculturalism, shedding light on various aspects of culture studies today. The names of the professor and the titles of the lectures are listed below in the class schedule. (There could be changes in the schedule without notice.)

ALH2 		各講義を聞き、関⼼を持った問題やテーマ、対象について、各回の配付資料に掲載された⽂献表を参照しつつ、最終回までにレポートを提出する。（字数は2000～2500字程度。必ず参照した⽂献表をつけること。文献表は字数に含める。） A paper (2000-2500 letters including reference) on the topics and themes introduced in the lectures. Students can refer to the sources mentioned in the reference list handed out in each lecture.

以下の課題の理解度を見ながら総合的に評価する。
・毎回のコメントシート提出により理解度を評価 80％
・課題（アクティブラーニング）提出により評価　20％

毎回の配布資料に⽂献表があるので、それらの関連⽂献を参照し事前・事後学習に役⽴てること。
