授業の目標   
通訳業界と通訳に関する研究について基礎的な知識を養います。

Acquire basic knowledge of the Interpreting Industry and Research on Interpreting
 
授業の概要   
通訳と言語教育の関係、通訳市場の研究と実践、通訳者としてのキャリア形成、通訳理論などのトピックを扱います。英語での講義を聴き、定期的に小テストで知識を確認します。また、通訳と言語教育、通訳学に関するグループ研究も行います。
 
Overview of the course   
The course will cover topics such as the relationship between interpreting experience and language learning, research on and practice in the modern interpreting market, building a career as an interpreter, and interpreting theories. Student will listen to lectures in English and will check their understanding through regular quizzes. They will also conduct research in groups on interpreting and language education, as well as on interpreting studies in for Active Learning and in-class assignments.

課題・宿題・予習必要事項・復習必要事項は授業中及びMOEを通じて共有します。MOEに定期的にアクセスし、授業の最新情報と宿題・課題内容を入手して下さい。
 
Preview/review   
Information related to assignments, homework, preparation and review of in-class work will be shared in class and through MOE. Students should access MOE regularly for updated information.

 
履修上の注意   
授業開始時に着席し、積極的に授業に参加して下さい。毎回、出席を取り、授業中と宿題の学習内容が理解できているかを小テストやディスカッションを通じて確認します。各種情報はPPT、Word、PDFで提供します。各種ファイルにアクセスできる環境を作って下さい。アクティブ・ラーニングはWordのテンプレートを提示します。必ずテンプレートを使ってMOEに提出して下さい。なお、グループワークを頻繁に行うため、クラスメートとの連携が必須です。
 
Notes   
Students should be seated in the classroom at the beginning of class. They are required to proactively participate in the class activities. Attendance will be taken in each class. Understanding of materials covered in class and homework will be checked with quizzes and discussions. Various information will be provided in PPT, Word, and PDF. Those taking this course should make sure to have access to these types of files. Word template will be provided for Active Learning assignments. Students should use the template and submit it to MOE. Note that group work will be conducted frequently, so collaboration with your classmates is essential.
