環境・エネルギー問題の動向と自然文化を活用した地域創生

Title（English）

Trends for environmental and energy issues, and Regional Revitalization Utilizing Natural and Cultural Resources

授業の目標

・日本の環境・エネルギー及び自然保護の経験からの教訓・現状を的確に説明できる。
・国際的な潮流に照らして日本の立ち位置を理解し、日本や世界が向かうべき方向について議論ができる。
・環境保全と地域創生を両立する社会実装について理論と実践を学ぶ。

Goals of the course

- Be able to explain properly the lessons learned from Japan's environmental, energy and nature preservation related experiences and the current status.
- Understand Japan's position in the light of international trends, and be able to discuss the direction that Japan and the world should take.
- Learning the theory and practice of social implementation that balances environmental conservation and regional revitalization.

授業の概要

本講義では、公害、気候変動(エネルギー)、資源循環、生物多様性、生物文化多様性、SX・GX、サステナブルツーリズム等の自然文化を活用した地域創生などに関する学修を通じ、世界の国・企業・自治体等の環境・エネルギーを巡る動きを知るとともに、問題解決のための主な政策手法について理解する。併せて、予防原則、リスク、汚染者負担原則など、環境関連の「共通言語」の概念を理解する。グループやクラス全体でのディスカッションを中心に進め、講義への積極的な参加・貢献を求める。(具体的な実施方法は履修人数によって調整)

Overview of the course

In this course, you will learn about the environmental and energy-related activities countries, corporations, and local governments through the study of pollution, climate change (energy), resource recycling, biodiversity, Bio-cultural Diversity, Sustainability Transformation and Green Transformation, Sustainable tourism and natural and cultural based regional revitalization, and understand the major po approaches to solving these problems. In addition, you will understand the concepts the "common language" of environment-related issues, such as the precautionary principle, risk, and the polluter-pays principle. The course will be conducted mainly through group and whole-class discussions, active participation contribution to the lecture will therefore be required. (The specific method will be adjusted depending on the number of students.)
