大学で学ぶ上で最初に必要とされる実践的知識とスキルを身につけ、今後の学修をスムーズに進めていくための基盤作りをします。

This course aims at teaching students the basic skills and practical knowledge which are required for university students.
|
|
|
|
(1)学内情報システムの利用方法、(2)図書館の活用法、(3)東京外国語で学ぶための基礎知識、(4)派遣留学やショートビジットなどの留学制度とその利用法、(5)大学で必要とされる現代社会のリスクマネージメントなどについて、各回に関係する担当者が講義・解説を行います。全8回（講義7回とアクティブ・ラーニング１回）の授業を春学期の前半に開講する「半期」の科目で、単位数は通常の講義科目（1学期で2単位）とは異なり、1単位となります。

Academic literacy is a half-semester and single-credit course held in the spring quarter. It is composed of eight classes (including one active learning session). Some topics covered in the course are ICT literacy, health literacy, off-campus literacy, financial literacy, and communication literacy. In each class, guest lecturer(s) give a talk about a specific topic.

The grade of this class is either pass or fail. Students will get a credit by fulfilling the following three requirements.
1. Active participation
2. Active Learning
3. Term paper

事前学習：授業内で作成するレスポンス・シートの準備をすること。
事後学習：授業内で担当者から配布されるプリントの内容を確認すること。

Preview: Students are required to prepare for writing a response sheet.
Review: Students are required to review handouts distributed in the class.

進級に不可欠な、1年次春学期に履修を指定されている必修科目です。
本授業は国際社会学部用のクラスです。
本授業の成績はGPAには含まれません。
・言語文化学部の学生は木曜1限・コースィット先生の「基礎リテラシー」を履修してください。
・国際日本学部（J1）の学生は木曜1限・阿部新先生の「基礎リテラシー」を履修してください。
・国際日本学部（J3）の学生は、友常勉先生が開講している木曜5限の「基礎リテラシー」を履修してください。

Academic literacy is a mandatory course for first-year students. This class is excluded from GPA calculations. This class is for the students of School of International and Area Studies. The students of Language and Culture Studies should enroll in Academic Literacy that is held by Prof. Kosit Tiptiempong. The J1 and J2 students of School of Japan Studies should enroll in Academic Literacy that is held by Prof. Shin Abe. The J3 students of School of Japan Studies should enroll in Academic Literacy that is held by Prof. Tsutomu Tomotsune on Thursday 5th period.
