基礎文法の学習が中心であるが、映像・音声・画像でウクライナの名所・旧跡（古都キーウ、愛のトンネル、世界遺産等）を紹介し、文化・歴史的背景、近隣諸国や世界との関係にも適宜触れながら、ウクライナ・宇語を総合的に学ぶ。
①ウクライナ概観―宇語の特徴、ウクライナ成立の歴史と背景の紹介を行う。
②文字と発音の丁寧な解説から始め、無理のない速度で教科書を順番に進める。
③簡単な宇語の会話と平易な読み物を通して、初級･中級レベルの宇語を学習する。
④随時他のスラヴ語と比較対照を行い、専攻語、地域を相対的・客観的に見る力を養う。
⑤既習者が受講する場合には実力にあった文学作品や新聞記事の講読を課す。

The class is designed to help students improve their knowledge of grammar and to introduce Ukrainian culture, history and the relationship between Ukraine and other countries

1 An overview of Ukraine: characteristics of Ukrainian language, a history of Ukrainian country and language
2 Reading a textbook at appropriate speed explaining alphabet and pronunciation.
3 Learning of the beginning and intermediate level of Ukrainian through simple conversations and readings.
4 Contrasting Ukrainian with other languages and developing a view of learners’ own major languages and their regions relatively and objectively.
5 Giving some tasks like reading of literary works, newspaper articles, that are suitable for the students who have already learned Ukrainian at the beginning level.
