授業の目標   
客体として語られるアフリカの理解を超えて、主体性を意識した様々な視点から多角的にアフリカの歴史を学ぶことを目指す。各自が自分のテーマで歴史に関するレポートを執筆する。
 
Goals of the course   
For further understanding, in this class we learn contemporary African history and geographic perspective. At the same time, students scrap news about African topics (Africa Media Watch) which help to understand the relationship between historical background and actual topics.
 
授業の概要   
外部者による記述によって成り立ってきたアフリカの歴史理解をいったん解体し、被抑圧者、ジェンダーなどの視点の転換によって歴史を問い直すきっかけをつくる。テーマごとにテキストを輪読し、ディスカッションを行う。こうした視点の獲得を手掛かりに、自分なりのテーマで歴史を深く掘り下げる文献研究の糸口をつかむ。
 
Overview of the course   
In this class, we learn from the dawn of independence of African countries to the actual era, understand the background of solidarity with Asia, and how African people walked along the long way from Independence to the construction of modern nation.

歴史レポートに平常点（コメントシート含む）を加味して評価する。
 
Grading system for assessment   
Final report and Comment sheets plus AL 1 & 2 will be examined.
 
事前・事後学習【要する時間の目安】   
事前に指定のテキストをよく読み、疑問点を整理したうえで授業に臨むこと。授業後は、関連する文献などを調べて理解を深め、自分の歴史レポート執筆に役立てること。

輪読形式なので、担当者は事前にレジュメを作成し提出すること。受講者は事前にテキストをよく読ンだ上で授業に臨み、積極的に議論に参加すること。
 
Notes   
Person in charge of each class must prepare a abstract of a article, as well as other students must read the article before hand and pick up discussion points. Active participation will be required.
