授業の目標   
本講義はアフリカ地域研究の入門編（2）である。目標として『新書アフリカ史（講談社現代新書）』の内容（特に植民地期以降）を理解し、現代アフリカで起こっているさまざまな事象を歴史的背景を踏まえて把握できるレベルを目指す。この授業は主に講義+ディスカッションで進める。今学期はZoomによるオンライン授業を予定している。
 
Goals of the course   
This is an introductory course to African Area Studies（2）. The goal is to understand the content of “New Books on African History” (Kodansha Company Ltd.) and to aim toward a level of understanding that takes into account the historical backdrop of events in modern Africa. This course will progress on a track of lectures and discussions. DVDs and other visual materials will be used.
 
授業の概要   
現代社会における変容するアフリカを一方の視座に置きながら、歴史的変遷を地域ごとに学んでいく。新聞やWebなどの様々なメディアで報道されるアフリカ関連のニュースをスクラップブックにし、複眼的に分析する方法を習得するとともに、アフリカの歴史を立体的に学んでいく。
 
Overview of the course   
Through one perspective of Africa’s changes in modern society, students will learn about the historical changes by area. Students will construct a scrapbook of news on Africa from newspapers, the internet and other broadcasting media, and acquire a multifaceted method of analysis for dimensional studies of African history.

事前・事後学習【要する時間の目安】   
各自アフリカに関する日々の報道にアンテナを張り、スクラップブックを作成すること(AL)。また教科書『新書アフリカ史』をもとに授業内容を予・復習しておくこと。
 
Preview/review   
Students should pay daily attention to news on Africa and create a scrapbook.
Students should also pre-study course content based on the textbook “New Books in African History”.
 
履修上の注意   
参加型の授業なので、積極的に取り組むこと。
毎回のテーマについて、自主的に学んでおくこと。
 
Notes   
This is a participatory course and students must actively participate.
Students should take it upon themselves to study the themes each week.
