Goals of the course   
This course develops English listening and reading skills in a manner which utilizes logic and critical thinking skills to understand conversations and reading passages.
 
授業の概要   
 
Overview of the course   
This is a remote course which uses an online English-learning platform called P-English. Homework is done online by assigned deadline and Zoom sessions are held during class time to answer questions regarding homework, maintain motivation or answer general English questions. Students will be divided into a maximum of 3 groups depending on class size.

履修上の注意   
このクラスを履修するためには、以下の3つの条件を満たした上で履修登録をおこなう必要があります。
1. 指定のオンライン・フォームから、最新のTOEICスコアとディプロマ・サプリメントの写しを提出している。詳細は、学期開始前までに大学HPまたは学務情報システムを通して通知しますので、必ず確認してください。
2. クラスが設定するTOEICスコアの条件に合致している。このクラスは、最新のTOEICスコアが800未満の学生を対象としていますので、TOEICスコアが800以上の学生は履修できません。
3. 過去にオンライン・オンデマンド型英語B1/B2 (P-English、LincEnglishのいずれかを教材として使用) の単位を修得していない。
オンライン学習教材のアカウントは、上記のすべての条件を満たした学生のみ購入できます。
 
Notes   
1) Students need to purchase a user account for online learning material at the university bookstore (COOP) before the first class.
2) The price for the account is 1,980 yen (tax included).
3) Once you purchase an account, you CANNOT return it and get a refund.

Please make sure to purchase the account after you decide to take the course.
