授業の概要

Overview of the course
[PATERSON Robert, Jan.26,27,28]
The course will explain the different types of presentations - Speech / Keynote / Plenary / Featured / Invited / Conference (Long and Short) / Lecture / Poster / TED / Pechakucha / Ignite, the different purposes of presentations - Argumentative / Informative / Educational Entertainment / Sales, and the things that are constant in all of them - Planning, Content, Structure, Design, Delivery. Also, each week students will write reflective blog posts each week to think about what they learned and how to apply it. So by the end of the course students will have a good understanding of modern presentations and how to plan and delivery a very high level presentation.

[CANNELL David, Feb.3,4,5]
What exactly is romantic love? Is it a kind of madness or sickness? Is it a
form of blindness? Why does romantic love feel so real and yet ultimately illusory? Is
love the union of two lovers giving birth to a shared identity? Is this shared identity real
in the same way we experience our own individual identity? Such perplexing
questions! In this course, we will appeal to philosophers, poets, literary critics,
and film-makers to assist us in answering these baffling questions of love and
life.
